About William Andrew
William Andrew is an independent, mid-size publisher of applied science handbooks, references, and databases. The company began in 1990 with the creation of the Plastics Design Library, providing unique databooks to the plastics industry, including the flagship title Chemical Resistance, now in its fourth edition.
In 1999, William Andrew acquired Noyes Publications of Park Ridge, New Jersey, adding a significant number of subject areas and titles to its growing line of books. We now have an active back list of more than 350 titles.
Due to demand and conducive market conditions, William Andrew is expanding its title output and introducing new subject areas. In 2008 we will be launching our first books in the Micro & Nano Technologies series. We have also rejuvenated the very successful Animal Science series published by Noyes and the first new edition (Tigers of the World) will be published in 2008.
Renewable and alternative energy are vital to the sustainability of the world and we will be introducing a line of books covering these subjects in 2009.
To respond more effectively to the globalized economy, William Andrew has appointed Elsevier to be its exclusive distributor in all countries outside of North America. We are excited with this development, and the positive impact it will have for our authors, as well as the exceptional distribution of their work in all countries, is a very tangible benefit.
William Andrew has a dedicated and professional staff resulting in high quality products and excellent customer service. We are committed to applying these values to everything we do and publish.
